Frequently Asked Questions

How do the CapeBreeZ filters work?

The CapeBreeZ has a unique design. The filters are mounted below the fans. Intake air is pulled in from the bottom up. As the air passes through the filter, contaminants are removed. Please keep in mind we offer two filter choices: MERV 8 and MERV 13.  The higher the MERV number, the more contaminants will be removed.

Can CapeBreez help reduce pollen indoors?

Yes, the CapeBreeZ will reduce pollen in the room where it’s mounted. More than one CapeBreeZ may be needed if you’re trying to reduce pollen in your entire home.

Do I ever have to open a window again?

The answer is never ‘absolutely not.’ However if the CapeBreeZ is installed and operated correctly under the right outside conditions, chances are very small that you will.

What is your warranty period?

Yes. Under the right conditions the CapeBreeZ will cool any room up to 20’ x 20’.

How many units do I need to cool my 1,000sq ft apartment?

When CapeBreeZ is in auto mode sensors monitor inside and outside dew points. If the outside dew point is higher the fan will turn itself off automatically and won’t restart until the outside dew point drops below the inside dew point.

Is it OK to leave CapeBreeZ powered on all the time?

Yes. If it’s in auto mode it will never run until the right conditions are met at the programmed lower outside temperature and humidity dew points.

Can I use my CapeBreeZ as a simple window fan?

Yes, you can choose from one of five fan speeds for air circulation depending on your needs.

Will the CapeBreeZ filter the air in the room where it’s mounted?

No. The CapeBreeZ only filters air entering a room from the outside.

Has the CapeBreeZ been safety tested?

Yes. It is ETL listed.
